Un riconoscimento prestigioso che premia la filosofia di Sestante 6.8
Verga 1958 is an Italian boatyard founded by Cav. Giancarlo Verga and Pierangela Cairoli, where passion, innovation and Made in Italy culture come together.
As one of the pioneers of fibreglass boatbuilding in Europe, Verga 1958 has always turned research and the courage to innovate into boats designed to make a lasting impression.
From the legendary Larianella to the fully transparent Tender 220T, made in Italy; from the Coral Life 250, the first tender made from recycled plastic and 100% recyclable, entirely Made in Italy; to the Sestante 6.8, a contemporary symbol of the Italian Dolce Vita.
Every creation is born from the same philosophy: designing emotions to be experienced.
Every detail tells a story of manufacturing excellence, authentic passion and a constant pursuit of beauty.
For Verga 1958, Made in Italy is a way of thinking, creating and inspiring.
The Cracking Art movement was founded in 1993 with the aim of renewing the language of contemporary art through a strong social and environmental commitment. Its innovative use of plastic materials highlights the increasingly close relationship between nature and the artificial world, encouraging reflection on the transformations of contemporary society.
Regenerating plastic means transforming it, giving it new value and guiding it towards a new life with respect for the environment. Turning it into works of art means communicating through an innovative aesthetic language, while expressing a particular sensitivity towards nature.
Over the course of its activity, the movement has created more than 500 exhibitions and installations in Italy and abroad and has been officially invited to participate in three editions of the Venice Biennale (2001, 2011 and 2013).
Their works are now part of the permanent collections of major contemporary art museums, including the Kampa Museum in Prague, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, SOMA in Seoul and Gallerie d’Italia in Milan.
From the collaboration between Verga 1958 and Cracking Art comes Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare.
The iconic Lupo di Cracking Art comes aboard and becomes the guardian of marine life, the seas and lakes: a symbolic presence that evokes respect for and protection of the aquatic environment, while also reflecting care for the people and communities connected to it.
A vision of boating in which the environment and people are at the heart of everything, connected by a relationship built on responsibility, respect, freedom and a deep connection with the water.
Aboard Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare, boating and contemporary art come together in a new and original way.
Sestante 6.8, designed by Matteo Costa Yacht & Design, inspired by the classic design of Verga 1958 boats and the timeless iconic style of the Italian Dolce Vita, evolves through the collaboration between Verga 1958 and Cracking Art.
Thus, a limited series is born, enriched with handcrafted details, customisations and iconic elements inspired by the Wolf sculpture, echoing the visual language of Cracking Art and defining the entire project with an immediately recognisable identity. A creation that goes beyond the traditional concept of a boat to become a Made in Italy collector’s piece, bringing together art, design, craftsmanship and a passion for boating.
Cracking Art and Verga 1958 reinterpret the instinctive strength of the wolf through the archetype of the Sea Wolf.
Free, experienced, untamed.
Guardian of the water and the life it sustains, it embodies a vision in which people and the environment are at the heart of everything, united by respect, responsibility and a deep connection with the sea and lakes.
Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare will be produced in just five examples numbered, each one paired with an original Wolf sculpture.
On the aft platform, the system Lupo ArtLock allows the sculpture to be securely mounted and quickly removed before setting off.
Each example will be accompanied by the certificate of authenticity and a numbered plaque certifying its inclusion in the limited series.
There are boats that follow a course.
And then there is Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare, created to chart a new one.
Verga 1958 brings to life an extraordinary encounter between the creativity of Cracking Art and the lines of Matteo Costa Yacht & Design.
The character of the wolf runs through every choice: bold colours, striking contrasts and iconic finishes create a strong, cohesive and instantly recognisable identity.
From the hull to the onboard details, everything speaks of freedom, pride and instinct.
Five boats, five collector’s pieces.
One unique, unmistakable signature.
With an outboard engine of 40 hp, Sestante 6.8 is ideal for boating without a licence, while offering simple, smooth and enjoyable handling.
For those seeking more spirited performance, it can be powered by up to 150 horsepower, offering a sportier and more dynamic boating experience.
With the new Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare, the capacity increases to up to 9 people: more friends, more family, more opportunities to share the pleasure of being on the water.
The spaces have been redesigned to offer even greater order and freedom on board: optimised storage compartments beneath the spacious Miramare aft sunbed, practical side pockets, generous lockers and an elegant handcrafted document bag on the console, always within easy reach and ready to take with you so nothing gets left behind.
The pack grows.
Some choices can be recognised at first scent.
For Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare, Verga 1958 and Cracking Art choose Suzuki as the official engine partner, sharing a vision founded on respect for and protection of the sea.
The #lavalacqua technology – Suzuki Micro Plastic Collector while cruising, it collects and traps microplastics present in the water.
A tangible solution, perfectly aligned with the values of the project.
The Wolf follows its instinct. Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare sets a new vision of boating in motion.
The Wolf’s curious spirit meets Verga 1958 AI Concierge, the intelligent assistant integrated on board Sestante 6.8 to make every experience simpler, more personal and more surprising.
Information, suggestions, ideas for the day and interesting facts to share: all it takes is one question to open the way to new possibilities.
